In the Begining…

Our site has been up since June 25th, 2010. Welcome all and hope you find this space on the Internet helpful with its information, thoughts and advice. As for me I have been on the Internet since the early 1990′s when the net was young and very few except the techies, including myself ventured on it or used it. Those of us back then were the developers and pioneers of the net.

Once while working on another Christian website I was told something about my testimony to the Lord on it. To not go into deep detail and point a finger at anyone, here is what was said quote: “You are not a Pastor nor was there a vote to give you permission to do this!”. Well I was under the assumption that one was not needed to simply give your testimony and this also happens in the USA and all over the world where we as Christians; “by our fellow man Christians” are determined to decide whether we can make a Christian statement or not.

Where in Scripture does it say this? From the most loathsome sinner to the highest Priest all have the write to come before the Lord to be saved and also give testimony and “man” has no say as to demote or promote a person to give them permission to do so. That if anyone does have the say, is the right of the Lord and no one else. Would this not set a poor example and hurt feelings of our fellow man? Could this partly block our duty of the Great Commission? Think about it.

I’ve been exploring on the internet hoping to get ideas on the way to get our weblog coded, your current design and style are great. Did you code it your self or did you recruit a coder to do it for you?

Irish, Some I added but most of the code that is non-default I added myself. Changed a few of the php code in the layout pages to suit our needs. The first thing I had to do was change a code line that removes any reference on a page that you are not going to have comments on. by default if you turn them off in admin you get a remark the comments are off on that page.

There is still stuff I want to add, when I have the time.
I am coding a entire website for a candle business in Orlando,FL next so thats taking most of my spare time now. I do most of the html pages myself instead of using a editor.. But I am trying Adobe Dream Weaver, first one I used in a while since MS front page. Oh I also do stuff in Unix , We have our own complete hosting with DNS servers and hosting servers. Have to keep them up too.

I really enjoyed reading this article, I was just wondering do you trade featured articles or blog posts? I’m always in search of somebody to make trades with and simply thought I would ask.

Yes I would consider trades of articles or comments, never knew anyone did that. Depends on what the articles are though. But it does sound like a good idea.

I have been exploring on the web trying to get ideas on the way to get my personal blog coded, your general style together with style are wonderful. Did you actually code it by yourself or did you employ a programmer to do it for you?

Most of the new coding I did myself.
